New Skiers Choice Assault 6.0L Inboard By Indmar
The newest addition to Skier's Choice Boats engine-line up for 2008 is the Assault 6.0L (364 CID) by Indmar. It is a new high-tech performance inboard that delivers enough power to give bulky big blocks a run for their money; all with less weight and a much smaller footprint. This new 6.0L powerplant is based on GM's Gen IV Vortec 6000 truck engine which has a strong following in automotive circles. The "brainpower" behind the new Assault 6.0L comes from Delphi's most advanced ECM (Electronic Control Module) the MEFI-5 hardware/software computer system. The MEFI-5 system is custom calibrated for Skiers [...]
Indmar. Where innovation is always hot!
Indmar is the first marine engine manufacturer to build catalytic converter- equipped engines in a standard production process. Indmar continues to develop the technology required for optimum performance and superior quality . Your engine was designed with the latest components that keep Indmar and your boat's performance ahead of the competition. One of the most important introductions involves post catalyst temperature sensors that allow the engine controller to monitor the status of the catalytic converters. These sensors are especially designed for top performance within the marine environment and deal with factors such as extreme temperatures, chemical compatibility, vibration and water. [...]
Indmar 2008 Engines Get Extra Measure Of Corrosion Protection
New SpectraMATE®25 plating is providing an extra layer of protection against corrosion on Indmar's 2008 inboard engine line. The newly adopted Indmar plating process is used on all exposed engine parts such as nuts, bolts and other metal fasteners; greatly extending the life of these parts. Highly-rated in the rugged 500-hour salt spray test, SpectraMATE®25 resists corrosion on a par with most stainless steels. Unlike other coatings and platings, surface scratches do not result in significant loss of effectiveness. This extra protective layer provided by the new plating process means longer Indmar engine life in the harsh marine environment. Indmar [...]
INDMAR’S ETX/CAT CATALYST TECHNOLOGY WINS 2006 IBEX ENVIRONMENTAL INNOVATION AWARD
ETX/CAT (Extreme Tuned Exhaust with Catalyst) by marine engine manufacturer Indmar Products Company, Inc. has won the 2006 IBEX Environmental Innovation Award at the recent International Boatbuilders Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) held November 1-3, 2006 in Miami Beach, Fl. ETX/CAT BY Indmar, patent pending, is the marine industry's first and only catalytic converter system for gasoline inboard/sterndrive marine engines. Its innovative "green" technology reduces exhaust emissions to less than half of the hydrocarbons (HC) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) over engines of previous years. ETX/CAT's most dramatic achievement for boater safety is its ability to reduce poisonous carbon monoxide (CO) [...]
